The Advent Basilica festival in Budapest offers a variety of free daily concerts at St. Stephen’s Square from November 14, 2025, to January 1, 2026. Every day at 5 PM, visitors can enjoy live music in front of the Basilica, often preceding the spectacular façade light show.
Performances include blues, pop, indie, folk, gospel, classical music, and children’s choirs.
Featured artists include OTI Acoustic, Asztrid, Osso, Song Factory, Some PPL, and the duo Kitty Rontó & Roland Balogh but the actual line up may change annually so it is best to check back closer to the date of your planned visit to the Budapest Christmas market. These concerts aim to enrich the festive atmosphere.
We would also recommend the Buda Castle Christmas Market by Matthias Church where weekly free concerts are also included in the programme (the schedule is not finalised at the moment).
