Zagyva Hungarian Folk Band at the Vorosmarty ter Budapest Christmas Market performing for the market visitors in the cold December weather in 2009. People often dance spontaneously, especially with children in the markets for the live music.
This music is from the Galga river area in Hungary.

Bekecs Hungarian Folk Band at the Xmas Fair in Budapest in 2010, on Vorosmarty Square. The stage at the Budapest Christmas Market is offering free concerts for the market visitors on a daily basis. It is especially nice in the evenings, but can get quite crowded by 5-6pm.

Bekecs Band is playing Hungarian Szekler music (from Marosszek, Transylvania – now in Romania). Bekecs Band lineup:
Vavrinecz András violin, Nagy András bass, Csávás Attila horn, viola, Nagy Zoltán hammered dulcimer (cimbalom), Majorosi Marianna vocal.

Meta Hungarian Folk Band was playing all sorts of traditional Hungarian tunes at the Budapest Xmas Market on Vorosmarty Square in 2009. As usual, many children started to hop and dance for the joyful Hungarian folk music (this video shows the music from Ordongosfuzes – Ördöngösfüzes). We also love to take our toddler to the market, so if you should come with little kids, wrap them warmly in winter clothes and let them jump around with the local children. They will surely enjoy every hop and step. :) You can also hear them shout rhythmically for the tunes.
